Opifer Robotics is a medtech robotics start-up automating the sterilization of surgical instruments in hospitals. We are incubated at the Arts et Métiers engineering school in Paris and work closely with hospitals. Sterilization is a critical step in surgery: no procedure can begin without instruments correctly sterilized and assembled into specific kits. Yet the process remains largely manual, often requiring night shifts to meet the next morning's surgical schedule and placing significant strain on operators. At Opifer, we are building a robotic solution to automate the bottleneck of the sterilization process: instrument inspection and kit assembly.
