ANDREW was founded in 1937 by Dr. Victor J. Andrew as a communication equipment manufacturing and service company based in Chicago. Over the following decades, ANDREW grew steadily in size, scope and global footprint, earning a reputation for technological leadership and personalized service. ANDREW became publicly traded in 1980. By this time, the ANDREW “flash” symbol was instantly recognizable on mobile network equipment installed around the world. Thousands of patents, millions of installed components and a portfolio of reliable brands made the company one of the industry’s most trusted providers. In 2007, ANDREW was acquired by CommScope, a leading provider of network infrastructure solutions. In 2024, Amphenol purchased CommScope’s OWN and ICN lines of business. Both businesses now operate together as ANDREW within the Amphenol family of brands. In addition to an updated version of the legendary flash symbol, we carry forward a legacy of innovation, integrity, close customer relationships and expert support, built over nine decades of business collaboration.
