Have you ever wondered what it really means to work in a startup?
How are real decisions made when time is limited, the budget is tight, unexpected challenges are always around the corner, and every choice can make a difference?
Â
Take part in Startup First Experience, a one-day Business Simulation designed for undergraduate students in Engineering, Architecture, and Design who want to step into the shoes of a startup founder for a day, in a dynamic and realistic environment.
Â
During the session, you will join a multidisciplinary team and work on a hypothetical startup to be launched, simulating its first strategic decisions: from product development to market choices, from resource management to team organization, and from handling risks to responding to unexpected events.
This will not be just a theoretical exercise: you will have to choose, discuss, negotiate, and make decisions—just like in a real startup.
Â
Following the talk by Gabriele Guzzetti, General Manager of Triadi, who will share the real story behind the startup’s founding:
-
You will form your multidisciplinary team, defining your role (Founder & CEO, Co-founder & CTO, Customer Success, Market Strategist, Product, Finance, Investor Relations and Operations).
-
You will choose one of the proposed startup ideas to work on, with the support of mentors and experienced startup founders.
-
You will face typical early-stage startup challenges and make strategic decisions.
-
At the end of the day, you will present a Startup Snapshot and deliver a short final pitch.
Throughout the activity, you will be guided by various professionals in the field, including:Â
- Luca Canepa, Startup's Mentor
- Carmelo D'Andrea, Startup's MentorÂ
- Philina Santarelli, Innovation Manager at Fondazione PolitecnicoÂ
- Andrea Cadelli, Innovation Manager at Fondazione PolitecnicoÂ
- Riccardo Chebac, CEO and Co-Founder at GraphiCoreÂ
