Beyond Academia: Career Day for PhD & Postdoc is an initiative dedicated to PhD candidates, PhD graduates and postdocs interested in exploring career paths outside academia. The event aims to foster dialogue between the world of research and the world of work.

 

The day will include career guidance sessions, testimonials and discussions, together with networking opportunities and meetings with organizations active in different sectors.

Through round tables, mentoring sessions and meetings with employers, participants will have the opportunity to discover possible career paths, better understand the value of the skills developed during their research experience and gain useful insights for their professional development.

 

 

Target audience

 

The event is open to:

• PhD candidates;
• PhD graduates;
• postdocs and postdoctoral researchers from Politecnico di Milano.

 

Objectives of the initiative

 

• to enhance the value of the skills developed through research paths;
• to offer tools and insights to navigate different career opportunities;
•  to foster connections between PhD/Postdoc talents and organizations outside academia;
• to promote dialogue between universities, companies, public bodies, institutions and international organizations.
