ISAAC was born at Politecnico di Milano with an ambitious question: can we rethink the way we protect buildings from seismic risk?

1- CONTROL SYSTEM ENGINEER — Junior Automation Engineer

We are looking for a junior automation engineer at the beginning of their professional career — curious, hands-on, and passionate about system and structural dynamics — to develop and validate isaac’s active systems for reducing earthquake- and wind-induced vibrations, working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

What you’ll do:

• Develop control logic and algorithms for amd (active mass damper) systems.
• Program and configure plcs for the real-time execution of control logic.
• Plan and conduct experimental laboratory tests, analyze results, and validate solutions.

Who you are

• Degree in automation engineering, mechatronics, electronics engineering, or a related field; recent graduate or with 1–2 years of experience in industrial automation and control.
• Strong knowledge of system and/or structural dynamics and control principles, particularly in seismic and wind engineering, with an understanding of modeling, analysis, and control techniques for dynamic systems.
• Interest in the practical implementation of control algorithms on real-world systems and a hands-on approach to laboratory experimentation, including critical analysis of results.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a structured approach to problem-solving; ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and a strong desire to grow in a technological and innovative environment.
• Excellent command of italian and at least b2 level english.
• Nice to have: plc programming (twincat and/or codesys), simulation software (matlab/simulink or python), and microsoft office.

2- Junior Automation Engineer 

A Junior Automation Engineer at the beginning of their career, with a solid background in industrial automation and control. We’re looking for someone curious and hands-on, passionate about system and structural dynamics, and motivated to develop active technologies for reducing earthquake- and wind-induced vibrations.

What you’ll do

• Develop control logic and algorithms for AMD (Active Mass Damper) systems to reduce structural vibrations induced by earthquakes and/or wind.
• Program and configure PLCs for the implementation and real-time execution of control logic.
• Plan and conduct experimental laboratory tests, analyze results, and validate the solutions developed.

Who you are

• Degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, or a related field; recent graduate or with 1–2 years of experience in industrial automation and control.
• Strong knowledge of system and/or structural dynamics and control principles, as well as modeling, analysis, and control techniques for dynamic systems.

3- Structural/Seismic Engineer – Structural Dynamics & Seismic Engineering

We are looking for a Structural/Seismic Engineer with a solid background in structural engineering and a strong interest in structural dynamics, seismic design, and innovative technologies. You’ll join the team responsible for turning ISAAC’s technology into practical solutions for real-world structures, with an initial onboarding and mentoring period.

What you’ll do

• Perform numerical modeling and dynamic analyses of existing buildings to gain a deeper understanding of their structural and seismic behavior.
• Study the integration of ISAAC technology into projects, comparing structural performance before and after the system is implemented.
• Develop and improve tools, workflows, and methodologies to make our technical processes more robust, efficient, and repeatable.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, following projects from initial technical assessments through validation and, where applicable, installation.

Who you are

• Master’s degree, either completed or nearing completion, in Civil, Building, or Structural Engineering.
• Good knowledge of structural analysis, structural dynamics, and seismic engineering; basic knowledge of FEM modeling and an interest in structural analysis software.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to critically interpret results rather than simply rely on software outputs.
• Curiosity about innovative structural technologies and non-standardized real-world engineering problems; strong teamwork skills and a willingness to learn.
• Excellent command of Italian and good command of English.

Nice to have

• Academic or thesis experience involving existing buildings, dynamic analysis, or seismic design; experience with FEM software such as Midas Gen, SAP2000, or equivalent tools.
• Programming/automation applied to engineering (Python, MATLAB); interest in vibration control, energy dissipation, or structural monitoring.

4- Junior Product Manager – Tecnologie per la Protezione Strutturale

We are looking for a Junior Product Manager to join our Sales & Marketing team: a curious, organized, and analytical person, eager to grow in a highly engineering-driven hardware + software environment. The ideal candidate is able to work across technical, commercial, and operational teams, translating different needs into clear and prioritized product requirements.

What you will do

• You will support the team throughout the ISAAC technology lifecycle, from requirements gathering to the release of new features, progressively taking on greater responsibility and autonomy.
• You will collect and structure requirements with R&D, structural engineering, and operations teams, managing the backlog and roadmap (user stories, functional specifications, acceptance criteria), and following development, testing, and validation activities with the technical team.
• You will analyze feedback from customers, construction sites, and testing activities, as well as market research and competitive benchmarking in vibration control, monitoring, and seismic protection, contributing to product KPIs and reporting.
• You will manage product documentation (specifications, manuals, technical datasheets, and sales and after-sales materials) and support the go-to-market activities for new releases.

Who you are

• You have a degree in Engineering (Management, Mechanical, Civil, Computer, or Electronic Engineering) or a related field, with 0–2 years of experience in product management, product ownership, project management, consulting, or R&D. Internships and traineeships are also considered.
• You have a strong analytical mindset and an interest in hardware-software products, as well as in the construction and earthquake engineering sectors. You are comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and able to synthesize complex information clearly.
• You have excellent Italian and good English skills, including technical English. You are proactive, organized, and eager to learn.

5- Junior Sales Representative – Mercato Edilizia B2B

 

We are looking for a Junior Sales Representative to join our Sales team, motivated to build a career in B2B sales within the construction industry. We are looking for a curious and determined person with excellent interpersonal skills, an interest in technologically complex products, and a strong willingness to learn how to manage the entire sales cycle alongside senior colleagues.

What you will do

• Develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory through prospecting and initial outreach, progressively taking on greater autonomy.
• Work alongside senior sales representatives throughout the entire sales cycle, from needs analysis and technical presentations to negotiation and closing.
• Manage relationships with strategic customers, including construction companies, general contractors, engineering and architecture firms, and technical departments.
• Translate customer needs into technical and commercial proposals, working closely with internal teams and ensuring alignment with technical, financial, and project requirements.
• Manage the sales pipeline, including CRM updates, sales reporting, and progress tracking.

Who you are

• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, or a related technical-commercial field. A background in Civil, Construction, or Management Engineering is a plus.
• You have 0–2 years of experience in sales, technical sales, or customer-facing roles. Internships and traineeships are also considered.
• You have a strong interest in consultative sales of technological solutions and in the construction industry.
• You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to listen to and understand customer needs.
• You are comfortable using digital tools and CRM systems, with a precise and structured approach to data management and reporting.
